Israel Launches Precision Strike on Hamas Leaders in Qatar

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (ISA, also known as Shin Bet) have confirmed a precision strike targeting senior Hamas leaders in Doha, Qatar. This operation marks a significant escalation in Israel's campaign against Hamas and is the first known Israeli military operation on Qatari soil.

The IDF stated that the strike targeted senior leadership responsible for the October 7 massacre and ongoing war efforts.

The operation was carried out using precise munitions and additional intelligence to minimize harm to civilians.

- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu authorized the strike, claiming it could open the door to an end of the war in Gaza.

The Qatari government strongly condemned the attack, calling it "cowardly" and a "criminal assault" that violates international law.

Hamas leaders reportedly survived the strike, but five lower-ranking members died.

The Trump administration condemned Israel's unilateral attack, emphasizing that it undermined US and Israeli interests. US President Donald Trump expressed regret over the attack's location and called for the release of hostages and dead in Gaza.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres also condemned Israel's strike in Qatar.

This strike signifies a major expansion of Israel's operations against Hamas, with potential implications for regional security and diplomatic efforts to end the conflict. The operation's success and its impact on the ongoing conflict remain to be seen.
